hey everyone. I'm at work right now ... and I'm waiting for a few people to clear away from the lunch/work table so I can continue working. See, they are using it now as a lunch table and I need to use it for a work table!

thats a picture of the building in which I work. It's called the Heckscher Building ...and its filled with lots of schools and summer programs...and my office.

My parents are in town and I will probably see them later today, I'm excited!! They are here for about a week...and I haven't been here in the city with them for such a long time!

Ok...I have to do what one is supposed to do here.... work

helloooooooooooo everybody. I'm at work now .. so I can't write very much for very long. The picture I posted last time was of Jack, one of the kids I babysit for in Wellesley. He's the cutest!

Life treads on, working 3 days a week, relaxing in the city. I'm working on a spreadsheet right now of books and documents and reports on the park...the other intern and i are organizing it and sorting it by date, title, etc. Too much fun to describe!

Jesse's Mom is in California for about a week so the house has been ... relaxed and full of dirty dishes...and i don't mind at all. We are going to go to the contry hosue for a few days this weekend, and Zach, JEsse's older brother, will probably also come. There is osmething magical and exciting about the posibility of going to a huge supermarket and ..... the beacon of all large scale american shopping .. Costco. Plus, its relaxing and bucolic.

Ok...a trabajar. Es gibt viel hier zu tun.

well hi everyone! I'm in new york now ... and since I'm not a large body of water away ... I feel more in touch, and perhaps more hesitant to blog!

Anyways, things are good here. Its Thursday night 1am....jesse is playing madden and I'm playing on my computer. I worked Monday-Wed and Jesse worked today....so tommorow we have a free day!...and we plan to go to an all you can eat vegetarian indian restaurant on 27th street...then going to a wholesale beverage store.....and then maybe some other things. my job is going well, It's in the same office and with most of the same people - but my objective and supervisors are different. My basic goal is to get the office in order .... place like documents and reports together, take a note of what is what and where everything is .... and creating a legible palpable and comprehensible institutional memory of the conservancy and its goods. So far we ( there is another intern) have gone through piles of reports, bids for projects, olmsted books, catalogues, and maganizes ... all of which have something to do with the park.... and written down the title, author, year, etc etc. Its a task....and hopefull we can organize the office some and give them a sense of understanding of the location of documents by type throughout the floor.

so yes, new york is going well. im excited to get back to school ... and for now im excited to have a good summer
