so I'm having a problem. I need to take a daily vitamin that is pretty big and I'm having a REALLY hard time swallowing. After 10 minutes of trying I finally cut a pill in half and got both of them down in about 3 times. But when I'm getting water I realize my heart starts racing and I get really nervous ... and at that point, why even try? When I'm standing there with the pill in my mouth and a ton of water I just can't make myself open my throat to swallow.

So..any suggestions would be helpful

I've been researching online (most of it has been about how to get your kids to swallow pills ... which makes me feel dandy)....so hopefully there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

Dear Poop,
Just chew the pill. You had no problems recently swallowing other pills, but vitamins may be a bit different. Just chew it until it is easily swallowable. The same with any pill that you are having difficulty swallowing. With capsules, you can open them up and swallow the stuff inside. xoxo dad

deb,
I can't really swallow a pill unless it is wayyy at the back of my throat. i put it in, take a swig of water (not too cold!) and then throw my head back. the pill moves back naturally. make sure your tongue is at the roof of your mouth, then gulp it down.
that probably won't help you, but i thougth i would try!
laters, cheryl.
